Why should you study Mathematics at
Aspire Together Tuition Academy?

At Aspire Together Tuition Academy, our specialised Mathematics tutoring program is broken up into two classes:

  1. Test & Exam Preparation Class

  2. Written Assessments Class

Test & Exam Preparation Class

This class is designed to give students the fundamental skills needed to excel in Year 7-10A Mathematics, Year 11 SACE Mathematics (General & Methods) and Year 12 SACE Mathematics (Methods). Our expert teacher and tutors unpack the core mathematical concepts and guide students on how to confidently approach exam-style questions, focusing on proven strategies and approaches tailored for summative tests and end-of-year exam.

  • Our program features explicit teaching of essential content and multiple exposures to challenging questions and mathematical concepts to reinforce learning.

  • Students learn to analyse key words and requirements in test and exam questions.

  • Receive tips and strategies to manage time and approach questions directly, minimising overthinking and getting straight to the point.

  • Provide a large variety of targeted practice question, quizzes and practice tests/exams.

  • All teaching materials and practice questions are regularly updated based on yearly reflection and chief assessor's reports to ensure students receive the most-updated information.

Key Information

  • Year 7-10A Mathematics are only 1-hour sessions.

  • Currently Stage 1 Mathematics (General & Methods) are only 1-hour sessions. However, depending on number of interests, 2-hour sessions will be offered in the future.

  • Stage 2 Mathematics (Methods) must undertake 2-hour sessions to ensure all content are covered at a good pace and that all our students are confidently prepared for their summative tests and end-of-year exams.

  • Group Tuition Sessions - The classes run in small groups (up to a maximum of 6-8 students).

  • Experienced Teacher/Tutor - The classes are taught by experienced teachers/tutors. All staff have a Working with Childrens Check and have undertaken an interview process, including delivering a mock lesson of their subject area before hiring.

Written Assessments Class

  • In addition to strengthening conceptual understandings, we offer a dedicated program to support students in producing high-quality Mathematical Investigation Reports. Each session provides structured, step-by-step guidance on mathematical writing and report presentation based on SACE requirements. Students benefit from opportunities to submit drafts in-class and receive comprehensive feedback, ensuring their work aligns with SACE standards and maximise their marks.

  • Our approach incorporates a variety of interactive in-class activities aimed at building a strong grasp of the key elements of exemplary Mathematical Investigation reports, closely aligned with SACE performance standards. Through peer assessment and moderation activities, students gain valuable insights into what assessors look for when awarding top grades. With multiple teachers and tutors present in the room each lesson, personalised and continuous feedback is provided to support every student.

  • This thoughtfully designed structure enables students to progressively develop their mathematical communication skills, receive support as they progress and avoid last-minute submissions. Continuous feedback and targeted support foster ongoing improvement and confidence when tackling written assessments. â€‹

Key Information

  • This class is only offered to students studying a Stage 1 or 2 Mathematics subject.

  • Group Tuition Sessions - The classes run in small groups (up to a maximum of 6-8 students). Please note, this class is open to all mathematics students (General & Methods) as they all cover the same type of written-assessments and requirements.

  • Experienced Teacher/Tutor - The classes are taught by experienced teachers/tutors. All staff have a Working with Childrens Check and have undertaken an interview process, including delivering a mock lesson of their subject area before hiring.

By participating in these lessons, students will not only deepen their understanding of Mathematical concepts, but also develop the skills and confidence needed  excel in every type of assessment. Whether it's summative tests, Mathematical Investigations, or end-of-year exams, our comprehensive program ensures students are well prepared to achieve their best results in both Year 11 and 12 SACE Mathematics.
