At Aspire Together Tuition Academy, our specialised SACE Biology tutoring program is broken up into two classes:

1. Test & Exam Preparation Class (Worth 70%)

2. Written Assessments Class (Worth 30%)

Test & Exam Preparation Class

This class is designed to give students the fundamental skills needed to excel in Year 11 and 12 SACE Biology. Our expert teacher and tutors unpack the core biological concepts and guide students on how to confidently approach exam-style questions, focusing on proven strategies and approaches tailored for summative tests and end-of-year exam.

• Our program features explicit teaching of essential biological content and multiple exposures to challenging questions and concepts to reinforce learning.

• Students learn to analyse key words and requirements in test and exam questions.

• Receive tips and strategies to manage time and approach questions (both multiple choice, short answers and extended responses) directly, minimising overthinking and getting straight to the point.

• Provide a range of revision materials - targeted practice question, quizzes and practice tests/exams.​​

• All teaching materials and practice questions are regularly updated based on yearly reflection and chief assessor's reports to ensure students receive the most-updated information.

​​Key Information

• Currently Stage 1 Biology are only 1-hour sessions. However, depending on number of interests, 2-hour sessions will be offered in the future.

• ​Stage 2 Biology must undertake 2-hour sessions to ensure all content are covered at a good pace and that all our students are confidently prepared for their summative tests and end-of-year exams.

• Group Tuition Sessions - The classes run in small groups (up to a maximum of 6-8 students).

• Experienced Teacher/Tutor - The classes are taught by experienced teachers/tutors. All staff have a Working with Childrens Check and have undertaken an interview process, including delivering a mock lesson of their subject area before hiring. 

​​Written Assessments Class​

• In addition to supporting conceptual understandings, we offer a dedicated program to support students in producing high-quality practical reports and Science as a Human Endeavour (SHE) assignments. Each session provides structured, step-by-step guidance on scientific writing and report presentation based on SACE guidelines. Students benefit from opportunities to submit drafts in class and receive detailed feedback, ensuring their work meets SACE standards and achieve the highest possible marks. 

• Our approach features interactive in-class activities designed to help students recognise the essential characteristics of exemplary practical reports and SHE Tasks, closely aligned with SACE performance standards. Through peer assessment and moderation activities, students develop insights into what markers seek when awarding top grades. With multiple teachers and tutors present in the room, students receive continuous, personalised feedback throughout each lesson.

• This carefully designed structure allows students to build their skills over time, receive support as they progress and avoid last-minute rushes. Regular feedback and targeted guidance ensure continual improvement and confidence in tackling written assessments. ​

​​Key Information

• This class is only offered to students studying a Stage 1 or 2 Science subject. 

• Group Tuition Sessions - The classes run in small groups (up to a maximum of 6-8 students). Please note, this class is open to all science students (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) as they all cover the same type of written-assessments and requirements. 

• Experienced Teacher/Tutor - The classes are taught by experienced teachers/tutors. All staff have a Working with Childrens Check and have undertaken an interview process, including delivering a mock lesson of their subject area before hiring.

Whether it's summative tests, end-of-year exams, or written assessments, our comprehensive program ensures students are thoroughly prepared to achieve their best results in both Year 11 and 12 SACE Biology.
